Handicap four ball matches began the Advertising Golf Tournament across Pinehurst’s three 18 hole courses with Class A on No 2 and Class B on No 1 while No 3 hosted non competitors. Noted pair Harold Slater and Irving Robeson won Class A at 74 net. in Class B D M Stewart and F S Newbery tied for first at 75 net to contest a playoff.
