Walker’s win follows strong showings from Captain A T Roberts Detroit John D Chapman Greenwich and Lt Van Clief Richmond County in a weekend of tight match play.

Sailor and Champion Clash for Midwinter Trophy Win

The oldest and youngest champions duel on a damp course as the sailor uses the putter to grab a lead with birdies from the tenth and a long sinker from thirteen. Truesdell rallies to win after a dramatic finish lasting nineteen holes, with Parson-Armstrong posting a best medal score of 38 out, 37 in for 75.

Aranyi and May Win Big Money in Pinehurst Track Race

Wednesday meet at Pinehurst race course by the Jockey Club featured five fast amateur races and a diverting opera Faust costumed contest. George T. Aranyi on Lucille led the guests dash nine furlongs in the main event, followed by Remsen McKim and Lt. A. H. Corwin. Melos with 145 pounds outran Little Horn, while Nat Hurd on Abden posted a strong third. The time was 2.08 as Genevieve proved strong in a five furlong event against Lady Betty and Wells.
