Pinehurst's Model Dairy: A Modern Southern Plant
A visiting party tours Pinehurst Dairy noting its spotless three hundred foot dairy barn, glassed cooling and bottling room, and automated rinse and fill process. The manager highlights Ayrshire stock including the Belle and Carrie, Holsteins, and a Scottish imported animal while the Pure Food Commission cites Pinehurst cream as the sole pure NC ice cream source with high milk fat. Pinehurst is praised as a healthy, well run regional asset and example of southern dairy excellence.
