Tragic Theodosia Burr Alston Portrait Revealed at Hall of History
Theodosia Burr Alston, Aaron Burr’s daughter, long linked to a pirate ship mystery, is finally honored as a painting connected to the Newport State Museum Hall of History in Raleigh. The portrait, allegedly by Vandell, surfaced from Nag's Head after a sailor’s tale and a fisherman's hut discovery.
