War time pageant and farm show unfold in a county event
The event featured a reading of the read ranks of the Woman's Division of the Council of National Defence, a parade with groups like the Domestic Savings Company, the Potato Boys, Red Cross Girls and Farm Life School, and a strong display of Pershing’s Return. The scene included Uncle Sam, Old Glory, Kaiser imagery, and a Peace Ball memory repurposed for wartime morale. Berkshire pig show and sale concluded with 49 fine Berkshire animals, including champions and prices, highlighting the district’s strong agrarian interests.
