Jamestown on Screen Debuts Mae Murray in To Have and To Hold
Jamestown of Old Me produced for To Have and to Hold. The film stars Mae Murray in her debut, chosen by Jesse L. Lasky Feature Play Company. On the Southern California Lasky ranch a complete Jamestown village is being built to recreate 17th century Virginia with over a thousand extras and a focus on historical accuracy. The photoplay, adapted from Mary Johnsons novel, promises a grand introduction for Murray, formerly a Ziegfeld Follies star, with a period-set stockade village and authentic settings. Carolina Theatre, Monday, April 10.
