The Pickens County Liberty Loan Committee continues its drive with Central and Liberty visited and organized by chairwoman Miss Pet Chapman. Each township will be organized by school districts across forty six districts, with trips planned to Dacusville Hurricane Pumpkintown Eustatoe and more. An illustrated “Voiceless Speech” will appear in public buildings. A county scrap book is being compiled of Fourth Liberty Loan clippings to be sent to Columbia and Washington after the campaign.

The Women's Liberty Loan committee held a large campfire style meeting in a Pickens county tent on the courthouse square pledging twenty two thousand eight hundred fifty dollars for the Fourth Liberty Loan. The rally featured remarks by M L Bonham of Anderson and Frank Watkins district chairman, with musical numbers and a reading by Miss Sarah Farmer of Alabama and songs led by Velma Smith of Easley and Janet Bolt of Six Mile.
