In Memory of J B Rigdon Confederate Soldier Dies
Obituary notes J B Rigdon born July 1838 in Greenville District South Carolina died November 26 1911 at home near Pleasant Grove church aged 73 buried at Coleney Baptist church where he served as a long time member Funeral conducted by Rev J E Foster and he is remembered as a faithful family man and Confederate veteran who served in Cedar Bluff and the Second South Carolina Rifles with battles at Shiloh Hill and Bull Run. He married Nancy C Huff in 1866 and had six children two brothers, John H Rigdon and W M Rigdon, survive him.
