Mrs Sallie Gilstrap died at her son Robert Gilstrap’s home after a period of declining health. She previously lived with her daughter in Pickens county and had two marriages, first to a Mr. Alexander and later to Mr. Gilstrap, who preceded her. She is survived by son Robert L. Gilstrap and was buried beside her last husband in Concross cemetery. The community extends condolences to the family.
Confederate veterans and widows are urged to file Crosses of Honor applications with Judge J. B. Newbery or the undersigned by April 25 1912 to allow processing time. After June 3 1912 no more crosses will be bestowed. The honor is extended to every veteran or his widow or oldest lineal descendant.
