Trip Expense Order Reversed In County Court
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Renz L. Jennings canceled his directive to pay a $169.40 expense claim by Tom Sullivan, an adult probation officer, after the Arizona Probation and Parole Association requested to assume costs. Sullivan had sought reimbursement for attending the Western Probation and Parole Association convention in Boise Idaho where he was elected to the Executive Board. The supervisors had refused arguing the cost was not a necessary expense. The association wrote that Sullivan gained ideas to aid his humane work and save taxpayer money, preferring to handle expenses to avoid court action.
