Court Balked Suspect's Committal, Mother Says
SANTA ANA May 26 AP Mrs Sally Wiley sought to commit her son Henry Ford McCracken to a mental hospital in 1946 but the petition was dismissed. The 29 year old was accused of molesting two girls in Buena Park theater and now indicted on kidnapping and killing Patricia Hull 10. Detroit police planned to commit him as criminally insane when he fled Michigan last September. He faced multiple sex charges and has been convicted twice. The grand jury indicted him in ten minutes and he did not testify. He admits being at the theater last Saturday when Patricia was to be there. The girl was found in a shallow canyon with a battered head and no rape indicated by autopsy.
