Arizona Hospital Trustee Floyd resigns over pay and funding
Albert S. Floyd of Tucson, a member of the Arizona State Hospital board of control, resigned after urging Gov. Howard Pyle to address the hospital’s finances and pay scales. He criticized top staffing changes without solving bottom-level needs, noting attendants start at 137.50 monthly with an average of 170. The governor will study the hospital situation and may redirect part of 500000 earmarked construction funds to salary adjustments.
