In Greenwich Village a night club hold up ended in a wild gun battle. Three gunmen Martinez Gonzales 25 alias James Ford 27 William Warrell 27 and John J Shel b 29 fired on detectives and patrons. two detectives were wounded and a patron hit. Gonzales captured after scuffle with Paul Knips 33. Other gunmen fled in cabs, two later arrested.
