Police-Chased Sedan Crashes Into Truck
A speeding sedan fled from a police car and crashed into a semi-truck at Seventh Street and Henshaw Road. Driver Leo L. Wood, 36, Salome, was pinned. passenger had facial cuts but both drivers, including Robert W. Mitchell, 36, of 2040 East Cocopah Street, unhurt. Mitchell’s truck, owned by Pacific Freight Lines, stopped near a gas station pumps. Captain Glenn Curry pursued the sedan at about 60 mph, about 100 yards behind.
