Buffalo Hunt Ends Early in Heavy Snow at Faith
R. I. Hall returned to Aberdeen after a short hunting trip with his brother at Faith to kill three outlaw buffalo bought by his brother. Child Burned To Death In Wash Boiler Tragedy
In Rapid City on November 22 a 4-year-old boy named Elwood Bergh fell into a wash boiler in the kitchen while his mother watched. She tried to pull him out but the child, severely burned, died a few hours later. The boiler had been placed on the floor with its tin lid nearby.

Louia Vroman, living in a cave in Spearfish canyon, was discharged from custody after Judge McDonough ruled no charge existed against him for being indigent. Vroman, eccentric and self sufficient, had lived in the cave for months and refused to work, surviving on found food. He departed for his cave home as winter weather remained frigid in the Black Hills.
