George S Peek of Sioux City urges farmers in northwestern Iowa to plant a corn and sugar cane mixture to yield five to six tons of fodder. He advises drilling half bushels of cane seed with corn per five acres, notes better cattle feed from mature cane, and claims cane tolerates dry conditions. Frank Gotham and F T Tompkins of Topeka left Saturday for business trips in northern Minnesota.
