Proceedings of Stanley County commissioners May 1907
The Stanley County board met at Fort Pierre with Tolton Sylva Addison Elshire Hopkins and Kennedy present. They opened bids for court house and city hall, awarded to Roush & Roush for completion by February 1908, set road overseers, organized townships Midland Philip Stamford Kadoka Interior Meers and others, and appointed a cattle inspector. Cleophas Rousseau to manage a Wakama store. new firm Powell & Co. to invest in a $1200 building with $5000 stock and general merchandise.
