Naval Patrol Established For Alaskan Coast
Submarine chasers 309 and 310 arrived in port last Saturday and remain over Sunday. Commanded by Captains O Donnell and Havens with twenty enlisted men each, they carry a department of justice representative. The patrol aims to prevent interference with the fishing season and to round up men evading military duty, under J W Mccormack. They will patrol from the international boundary north to Juneau and likely return to port weekly. The Explorer and Patterson will cover the western coast.

Repairs Begin on Admiral Evans After At Hawk Inlet Tow

A Kiev dispatch dated Wednesday confirms the assassination of the former Russian emperor by Bolshevik troops during their retreat to Yekaterinburg.
