Penticton Boys Club Annual Dinner Seated 23 Members

The Penticton Boys Club held its annual dinner at Mrs. McNeil's home on Wednesday the 29th at 6:30. Twenty three boys dined on turkey and plum pudding as Mrs. Thompson led the event and Mrs. McNeil assisted. Toasts followed with responses from Horace Lister F Kearns Corwyn Lancaster and C A Thompson among others.

Kelowna Builds Electric Lighting and Water System

Kelowna's municipally owned electric lighting plant began operation on Christmas Eve with twenty one street lamps and about one hundred houses lit. The steam powered plant, installed by Morse Co, will also power lake water pumping for a new domestic water system. Total cost for water works and lighting is about sixty thousand dollars.
