Christmas Tragedy Near Penticton Ends in Deaths
Two of three men seen in town on Christmas morning were found dead along the Summerland road, Chapman and Blair died from exhaustion and exposure after a day of drinking and a cold storm. Wilson survived, recounting a night of cold and confusion as he searched for his companions. The inquest ruled Chapman died from exposure, with Blair's body later found. burial services followed.

St Saviours Church to Reopen With Archdeacon Beer
The St Saviour's Church reopens with services next Sunday January 8 at 11 am and 730 pm Archdeacon H Beer of the Diocese of Kootenay will preach at both. The church, erected in 1892 by Thomas Ellis, has served Penticton as a chapel for various denominations before Anglican consecration.
