Photographs revive memories of Winburne church and kin
Inge Logenburg Kyler of Eaton Rapids Michigan shares photographs and memories of St Paul German Lutheran Church in Winburne. She recalls the crumbling foundation walls before demolition, the cemetery behind the church, and ancestors including Johann Lipka and Marie Lipka Augestin. Her writings as a historian and poet tie her family’s past to Clearfield and Winburne, with references to the church’s deacon grandfather and a 21st poetry project.

ACLU Sues Over Muslim Prayers in Schools Debate
A reader asks if the ACLU’s challenge to prayer limits implies endorsement of Islam and questions whether Muslim children must pray five times daily or in school. The letter questions separation of church and state, claims the Constitution lacks such a clause, and accuses officials of pandering to minority faiths while defending majority Christian values.
