DuBois Mayor John Suplizio announced at a city council session that Robert Gusheroski a former school teacher left 1 041 000 of his estate to three local groups The DuBois Public Library Lakeside United Methodist Church and the Salvation Army each receive 347 000 Mr Suplizio praised the benefactor for his community contributions
The Clearfield County Solid Waste Authority reviewed part of its sustainability study at a meeting. Results show a transfer station is not feasible due to nearby landfills within a 60 minute drive. Recommendations include staff salary funding shifts, facility fees, host fees, sponsorships, donations, and user fees though authority limits hinder collection.
