Texas Hospital Plan Drives Unit Responsibility
The Texas Department of the American Legion Auxiliary places hospital work first across units. A state hospital fund started May 23, 1921, with about 6500 dollars raised by posts and auxiliaries. The fund finances hospital care, supports patients through unit adoption, and expands unit presence nationwide under Mrs Murray and Mrs Duller and Mrs McKee. The program aims for a unit in each of Texas 291 Legion posts.
