Pendleton enjoyed a large Fourth of July as Falls Park and Idlewold Park filled with crowds. The day featured contests awarding prizes to Ralph Hardy Helen Speigel Belmeda Schuyler and others plus a Pendleton relay win over Anderson and open relay victory. A Christian Church program and Rev Marlow sermons followed the holiday events.
First prize of 2 dollars awarded to Horace Hardy and Perry Loy. Second prize shared by Floyd Godby and John Alley in a tied outcome.
