Pendleton Theatre To Open Next Week With New Decor
The Pendleton Theatre reopens Thursday April 12 after four weeks closed. The interior is redecorated with a new screen two projector machines and no intermission for reels. Opening program includes The Hottentot and Three Jump Ahead with Bucks orchestra. Matinee Saturdays 3:00 and two nightly shows 7:00 and 8:30 admission 10c children 25c adults 25c and 15c for matinee.

Reverend J Orr Powell Goes Off For Conference
Rev J Orr Powell left for conference in KokomoTuesday morning noting the closing day of the conference year was well attended with 381 in Sunday School and a $52 offering. The services featured Easter anthems solos duets and a quartette. Six new members joined the church as Powell plans a return for a fifth year. There will be no services next Sunday except Sunday School and Epworth League at usual hours.

Union Traction Work Advances With Pendleton Track Lay

Fire destroys Crosley home in Crescent Hill addition
A Crescent Hill house owned by Chester Crosley was burned Monday around 10 am due to a defective fuse and was uncontrollable when firefighters arrived. Occupied by Amar Hughes and family, it left them with no insured household goods. The church board bought nearby Malinda Davis property for 1400 dollars.
