The Fish and Game Commission of the state has directed notable exhibits including game, with special attention to procuring excellent pieces for public viewing. The exhibit showcases wildlife and related industry items organized under state supervision.
A program listing Verdi Overture Rienzi and Wagner pieces alongside Delibes and DeCaprio selections. It notes performances, including Grand March Alda and a Nubians theme, with entrée and entr acte elements and a few errors in the OCR.
The Vialtors district fair opens this afternoon and runs each afternoon and evening all week. Visitors may hear a top northwest band and view exhibits from Umatilla county and outsiders, notably the fish and game commission. The fishery exhibit is north of the band stand under J H Wilson, while Corvallis supervisor Gene M Simpson handles the game birds in the stock pavilion with birds from the Corvallis farm arriving today. Dr A Gurdane of Heppner leads the Morrow county display of grains and horticultural products, with Henry Sommerers and Eo Come also involved. Continued on page 4.

Representatives of Kid McCoy the American prizefighter filed suit for 200000 against the Belgian government for alleged false imprisonment in London by British authorities acting for Belgian officials. McCoy was charged with complicity in an 80000 jewel theft at Ostend.

A Round-up parade feature will be a pair of oxen from Clarence Adams herd at Camus Prairie. They were rounded up a week ago and, unused to people, will debut in a wild western display as they pull a prairie schooner down Main Street on Thursday. Madrid report says infant Maria Teresa, aged 30, sister of King Alfonso of Spain and wife of Prince Ferdinand of Bavaria, died in Madrid today. She had given birth to a daughter on August 18th.
Burglars entered the home of L. C Rothrock at 1115 East Court Street last night and stole $28 in cash. Police report the primary target was money, with no other items taken.
Los Angeles reports Colonel Bryan arriving at 7 00 am greeted by hundreds at the depot and escorted to the Alexandria Hotel for an informal reception. He delivered two morning addresses and one in the afternoon before departing tonight for Sacramento California. The trip reflects a split in the Republican party with mixed divisions in most states.

Nelson rode from Portland to The Dalles by water. five autos were aboard sailing to The Dalles for shipment to Pendleton via Overland. Boat officials report boats between Portland and The Dalles are booked to capacity for the next five days.
President J F Robinson of the Commercial Club forms a reception committee for the Round-up. The roster mostly includes seasoned business and professional men such as T C Taylor C E Roosevelt FL W Vincent and J W Maloney. The group will meet Monday at 8 pm in Commercial rooms to finalize arrangements. a brass band and twenty five mounted cowboys will assist.
Pilot Rock plans a modern creamery with an ice and cold storage plant. Charles Elmsteadt promotes the project with the Pilot Rock Commercial club furnishing land and building. Farmers agree to supply cream from about four hundred milch cows, securing a multi thousand dollar investment. The project will hire several workers and impact farmers across the surrounding prairie region.
Pittsburg Sept 23 Colonel Roosevelt prepared for a strenuous campaign in Kansas and Missouri after a restful Sunday at Emporia at Allen White's home. He spoke in Kansas and finished in Joplin Missouri focusing on the tariff.

Shaw arrives Friday with secretary Miss Lucy Anthony and will be joined by Dr Esther C Poh Lovejoy who travels from Portland to meet her.
A large shipment of militia tents was received by the Round-Up Association for visitor sleeping accommodations. Tents cost twenty five cents weekly with delivery and return handled by the committee. Call Main 219 to arrange delivery or to offer space.
