Umatilla County Patriotic League Organizes War Drives
The Umatilla County Patriotic Service League formed early in the war era to unify all war activities under a central body. A central executive committee guides operations with a paid secretary and district precinct chairs, team captains, and a public publicity group coordinating newspaper and speaker programs. The loyalty committee punishes unpatriotic acts, while a rating system assigns quotas and drives.
