The Cotentin and Augere de varieties dominate Normandy with dairy qualities, while Brittany stock numbers about 1.5 million head across five departments. Firefly Light Compared With Candle in Heat Experiment
A study tested Cuban fireflies against a sperm candle using concave mirrors. The heat from the candle caused a detectable instrument response, while the firefly produced negligible heat. The firefly emitted about one eighth the light of the candle, and its overall light was roughly one thirteen thousandth of a candle. An Indian farmer rented a wire line telegraph outfit for 494 in Chicago.
