On October 28, 1902, a contract with Mr Pitney to pasture 42 cattle for 25 was breached after payment as cattle were moved first to a waterless pasture then onto a county road. Plaintiffs claim 519.12 in losses including 37.76 in gathering and 257.37 in shrinkage. Frank Jaster, a Beagle Valley rancher, recovered six horses and two others after a theft. two horses were recovered in Sandpoint Idaho with Sheriff Brown. The saddle stolen with the horses was brought back.
