He also alleged the new state capitol cost about 13 million dollars contains more than 3.5 million in craft.

Haskins, found in Seattle, is accused of furnishing tools and aiding prisoners Weddle Young and Bowman in escaping from Unantilla County jail. Sheriff Taylor pursued him after confessions linked him to the plan. Perry, also implicated, was reportedly involved. Haskins was arrested in Walla Walla and later located in Seattle. The case, to be brought to Pendleton, involves a penitentiary offense of aiding an escape.

Mrs Madge Snyder widow of Carl M Snyder son of a Kansas City millionaire told how Snyder with George Perry of Independence and another man plotted robbery and murder at a Portland pawn shop theater. A December bank robbery plan at Forest Grove was scrapped after a quarrel kept her husband out. Dynamite was planted near the Snyder home and he vanished after demanding his share.
At Hermiston Works in Echo Oregon on October 27, rail service failed to provide freight handling. A band of 175 cattle and 6000 sheep are awaiting shipment to Frank L. Smith Co. and Butter Creek country, with owners forced to pasture cattle and feed sheep due to lack of box cars and hauling cars.
