Mrs. Alice Rachor reports her baby suffered a hard crust on the head with pimples and sores. After trying many remedies she used Cuticura Soap and Ointment, noting rapid improvement the same day and full recovery after a month.

Captain Charles Murphy and wife, engineer at Eastern Oregon state hospital, visited Stanfield. Pendleton contractor L Dunlop was in Stanfield this week. WH Willard and J L Stuart traveling to Portland and Toll, Washington. A E Mulley of Wallowa seeking local business. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Carr were Pendleton visitors. Wade Privett and W. Copeland of Pendleton spent Friday in Stanfield.
Adams October 1s special correspondence reports Mr T Watkin and FL M Whitley appointed delegates of the Adams Knights of Pythias lodge to attend the grand lodge session in Portland this week. Mrs P M Whitely accompanied her husband on the trip. May Martin and Vicht Picard returned to Adams Monday after several days away. Several residents visited Athena, Penn Meton, or Portland this week, including Grace Merritt and Mrs McLean of Athena. Harrison Baker returned home to Portland after a visit in Adams. Mrs H Pical and Gertrude Card were Portland visitors this week.

Kurt Mueller, 25, a former preacher who admits his past bigamy, is held by police on a charge of blowing a pistol at a man during an arrest for wife abuse.
