Judge Frazer Warns Parents on Juvenile Reform
Judge A L Frazer of the circuit court juvenile department told the Portland Association of Credit Men that reform must begin in childhood. He said 5 percent of needed corrections can be prevented by one visit to the juvenile court and that 3 to 6 percent are hopelessly criminal, urging parents to be companionable and vigilant. He warned of slums in courtland and noted some worst cases came from a Sunday school. A second note reports Bailey finding a nickel ore copper deposit near Ozinky on Kodiak island, near a previously sold copper ledge to Mrs. Frank Kimball of Seattle, while prospecting on the Portland-bound steamer Port land.
