Dying Chinese causes fatal harm in home invasion

A Chinese resident fatally injured an intruder during a break in at a Portland home this morning. The assailant, described as Gorge Washington Dvvien and Black, reportedly attacked Wing Hing with a hammer as the intruder attempted to rob. Hing appears to be in serious condition.

All Branches 1st Army Now In France

All branches of the American army are represented in France. Heavy and light artillery and some cavalry have arrived and are preparing for service. Heavy artillery experts train at the French school in howitzers mortars and naval guns including those mounted on railroad trucks.
