Pioneers of the Pacific join Order of Washington uniting west coast fraternal groups
The Pioneers of the Pacific merging with the Order of Washington creates a single fraternal body called the Order of Washington with about 17 000 members. The consolidation, approved by state insurance inspectors, preserves existing benefits for members and adds security to certificates. Pendleton hosts the new organization under William Martin encampment with officers named and a celebratory supper.
