George A Olmstead a retired railroad conductor died of an apparent heart attack aboard the Oregon Electric line between Troutdale and Portland yesterday morning. A Portland resident and Pendleton figure, he had worked for Northern Pacific Oregon Railroad Navigation and Oregon Washington Territory roads. He was a noted member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Conductors and retired about four months ago at age 45. He leaves a widow and two daughters. Funeral services will be held in Portland from his residence.
