Roseburg Oregon May 26 no word from pilot Unger Robert Leadbetter Luther Page and Earl Stewart since Saturday’s balloon flight. The last sighting was near Silver Lake 129 miles east at 6 last night, deep anxiety over occupants.
Washington May 26 The Supreme Court today reversed lower court rulings, holding that the contract for operation and maintenance of government irrigation projects and their transfer to settlers requires homesteaders to bear these costs through assessments. The decision affects vast federal reclamation efforts and the Wakima Valley Sunnyside project.

ER Doherty 70 000 pounds bought by Green at 12. Slusher 112 000 pounds offered 12 2 4 but refused. Cunha refused 14 on 80 000 pounds.
In Berkeley California on May 26 Dr Z D Ball identified the young man found in the hills with amnesia as HW L HO hundro of Clarkston Washington. Ball gave a pencil and the patient wrote WH 1 then memory faded then recalled his mother's name Emin and finally his full name. His father was notified.
At the Knights of Pythias lodge tonight five long standing members will receive new gold watch charms replacing earlier pins. Recipients include Thomas Swearingen, Dr. C J Whittaker, J M Bentley, Henry Thompson and R Alexander, with program featuring opening address, music by United Orchestra, lecture on Pythianism, a second music segment, the jewel presentation, and refreshments.

A contract was signed for a new motion picture and vaudeville theatre on a vacant lot behind the American National Park building. C K Oliphant will lease for five years with renewal options, plans call for a 50 by 100 foot brick theatre seating 600, built for about 10000 dollars with sloped floor, good ventilation, mission entrance, loge seating, and advanced heating. Oliphant, former Palace Theatre proprietor of Roseburg, aims to have the theatre ready by September 1.
