May 24 Athena Ore. Sealle Edwards of Milton died after a head skull fracture in a highway crash on the Athena Weston road near the Dudley place. Clarence Shuel Carl Engdahl and Guy Smith of Helix suffered injuries but none serious. The car driven by Shuel, traveling at about 60 mph, lost control while passing another vehicle. The tumble occurred at 11:10 with only Bannister as witness as dust obscured details. Edwards died at 1:45 after his mother and brother reached his bedside.
