Joseph McCabe, longtime chief of the Pendleton-Pareoread, resigns as vice president and general manager of the W. & C. H. He will enter railroad contracting with 8. Beshler of Tacoma, beginning after a Cannon Falls contract. Meade of the W. & R. is named in the wake of the departure. McCabe, born in Cold Springs Wisconsin, began railroad service in 1870 and held multiple dispatch and superintendent roles before his eight-year tenure in Pendleton.
