La Dow block sale and long urban development tale
Pendleton’s La Dow block, first built in 1885 and completed in 1889, changed hands through mortgage and litigation before Pacific Realty Co. owned it in fee simple. The sale ties into local history, with political notes about Matlock's mayoral bid and a railroad rate notice from O R & N including Chicago and St Louis routes and sale dates.
