Bids Open for Indian Land Leases on Umatilla Reserve

Bids on Indian land leases will open May 8 at 2 o clock on the Umatilla Indian reservation. A total of 190 allotments, 40 to 160 acres each, will be leased at prices from 8 to 31 dollars. Leases expire September 30, 1930. Rental and terms vary, with almost 20,000 acres up for bid and most lands expected to remain with present tenants.
