After eight days trapped when dynamite wrecked the chamber he was found but died two hours after rescue. He had meal scraps but no water and perished as the building collapsed on him.

Fourteen Doctors Graduate At Willamette Medical School

The thirty ninth annual commencement of Willamette University medical department was held last evening at the First M. E. Church. Fourteen men of the 1900 class received diplomas and doctor of medicine degrees. Four young ladies received nursing certificates. The annual address was delivered by Hon. T. G. Halley of the supreme court.

Two minor earthquake shocks were recorded early this morning in San Francisco at 9 30 and 6 46. The quivers woke sleepers but there were no reports of panic. Citizens are accustomed to the tremors and no damage is noted.
