Man Threatens Boy then Shoots Three Times

A 16 year old boy and an elderly man near Pilot Rock are involved after a shooting six miles west of Pilot Rock at about 4 pm Friday. William Harris, age about 70, lies in Sis ters' hospital with three bullet wounds. Alvin Wade is jailed, accused of the incident. Wade claims the other man fired first. Harris denies shooting at the boy. No witnesses beyond Wade’s two brothers. Concluded on page 6.
