County Salaries May Be Adjusted by Vote
March 25. Salaries of county officials in Origen county may be regulated by a vote of the people under the enabling act of 1019. The question may be brought up by initiative petition or provided for in an election call by the County court. Attorney General Brown prepared the opinion for J. A. Churchill, state superintendent of public instruction, who sought guidance for Hood River community where a county superintendent of schools salary increase is under consideration.
