At North Portland stock yards last week a heavy influx of sheep supported a strong market with prices for prime ewes 4.75 to 6 and prime yearling wethers 5.75 to 6. At a March 4 1914 meeting the Pendleton Common Council adopted resolutions to improve Tustin Street from Moat Line of in Street to the West line of Thompson Street with presented plans and specifications and estimates of cost and benefit assessments for lots parcels and land to be benefited and their shares.
The Common Council adopts plans for gravel bitulithic paving on Tustin Street and Vincent Court Alta and Lee Streets with cost charges, creating Assessment District No 35 and 40, and orders publication of surveyor estimates and notices of reassessment provisions for local improvements in Pendleton Oregon.
