Excursionists Welcome Western Livestock Delegation in Pendleton
A traveling group of 237 men and women from Toltho and eastern Washington arrived by special train at Pendleton station to promote live stock interests. Citizens cheered, fed, and escorted the visitors, while a Cottonwood pig named John the Baptist and the Spirit of Fo drum corps opened the welcome, followed by speeches and a parade past Main and Court streets before departing for Walla Walla.
