Attorney Watts Dismisses Suit Against Himself
Homer J. Watts of Athena filed power of attorney for Jerry Nelson St Dennis and two others in a suit filed January 12. A motion to dismiss cited a satisfactory settlement. The case originated with Perry Bailey for the plaintiffs alleging Watts received money from the estate of Desire St Denis and refused heirs. The grand jury found no evidence of unlawful conduct. Watts now represents the plaintiffs and the suit is closed. A liquor license petition for Blackburn Brothers of Pilot Rock faces opposition and possible remonstrance. Orpheum shows are advertised.
