Reports from March describe 20 000 American troops rushing toward Mexico with urgently ferried supplies and orders to sail at once. Colored troops and multiple regiments are dispatched to Arizona and Texas as armored cruisers move to the Texan coast.
An attorney for Madero in Washington asserts Diaz is near death and kept alive by heart stimulants. He says insurgent leaders claim anarchy may erupt in Mexico City and that if Diaz dies American rule could shield Mexico from his soldiers. Agents allegedly relay a rapid border mobilization claim.
Washington reports a major mobilization of 6000 troops along the Mexican border with U S Army units and batteries ordered south. The move coincides with claims of a planned joint army navy exercise at southern posts and rumors of cross border action amid American investments in Mexico.
Five hundred suffragettes march for Springfield to press a woman’s rights plan. A votes for women flag flies at the state house. Twenty five women address the legislature tonight and later a reception will be hosted by Mrs Deneen wife of the governor.

Detroit officials of the Michigan Alaska Development Company face federal indictments for conspiring to misrepresent Alaska coal lands to 200 to 300 stockholders. The case centers on land entries valued over 50 million dollars and could bring two years in prison or a 10000 dollar fine for each defendant. District Attorney Watson said trial is expected soon.
Tangiers March 7 Rebel forces controlling territory between Alazar Kebir and Fez proclaimed Abdul Aziz as sultan replacing Mulay Hafid after repeated defeats. Abdul Aziz had lost the throne to his brother in 1908. Hundreds killed in recent battles.
New York reports Hugo Kelly and Jim Smith are set for a snappy ten round bout for Fairmont Athletic Club members tonight. The expected slugfest promises action and a decisive outcome.

Women and many residents crossed into Calexico while ranchers said a large federal party moved toward Mexicali. Insurgents dispatched units to protect Colorado river works amid bandit activity.
Seattle voters select nine council members from 18 candidates. Nine reformers face nine supporters of the Gill administration in a pivotal March vote in Seattle Washington.
After two years of stormy politics Ballinger resigns as secretary of the Interior. He quit January 19 but postponed at Taft's request until Congress adjourned. A second resignation letter was accepted today as Walter L. Fisher of Chicago is named his successor. Democrats planned to impeach Ballinger at the upcoming session.
Pinchottie succeeds Fisher, a Pinecot conservationist and president of the National Conservation Association formed against Ballinger's land policies. Ballinger plans to return to Seattle at the earliest opportunity as tensions aim to placate progressives and restore peace in the conservation controversies.
Walter Fisher, newly appointed secretary of the Interior and Chicago lawyer, is noted as a reform politician and member of Taft's railway securities commission for six months. He is said to be investigating the financial condition of American railroads.
Taft praised Ballinger in a letter to him saying he knew what a good public servant Ballinger was. He cited what he called an unscrupulous conspiracy to defame Ballinger and refused to abandon him, calling those who attacked him unprincipled conspirators. Ballinger attributed health issues to his resignation.
Washington March 7 Fred Bennett commissioner general of the land office will resign in a few days following Tallinger's action. Bennett has been one of Tallinger's closest supporters.
A rakish pirate ship flying a skull flag sailed up Lost river and anchored at West Baden. The crew, from Pittsburg Pa, declares themselves pirates and will stay ten days before heading to Hot Springs Ark for a seventeen day exhibition tour. The University of Arkansas nine are set to host the Pirates in Little Rock on April 4 with further games against Memphis Chattanooga Columbus and Dayton.
March 7 marks the Civil War battle anniversary as plans unfold for a 100th reunion for Union and Confederate soldiers at the Pea Ridge site in Benton county Arkansas. The proposed gathering would honor both sides on the battlefield exact location in the northwest state.
