Boy Drowns While Fishing at Echo River
Seven year old Jimmy McRoberts son of Echo restaurant proprietor drowned in the Amillion river at 8 30 this afternoon. He fell from the new steel bridge while fishing and was pulled in by a large sucker. Body recovered within 15 minutes but rescue efforts failed to restore consciousness.

Dynamite wrecks Eugene Mormon home. no injuries
In Eugene Oregon on June 14 a small house occupied by widow Mrs. E. B. Howell her children her brother W. & Buchanan and two Mormon elders C. L. Dunford and C. A. Williams was partially wrecked by dynamite. The front porch and windows were smashed but no one was hurt. Authorities believe the blast aimed to frighten the occupants.

Divorce Over Claims Of Education Costs And Infidelity
Dr J N G Luttenberger a Pendleton evangelist and physician was divorced today by his wife Henrietta Luttenberger who says she paid $2600 for his medical education and was treated as a social inferior. The couple married July 8 1896 and separated in 1904. A Miss Louise Wolff testified to Luttenberger attempting an embrace. he left after living apart. He previously preached at Carondelet church and pondered marriage roles in sermons.

In Sandy Creek near Parkersburg West Virginia, Mrs A I Stairs killed her two children aged six months and two years by slashing their throats as they slept, then killed herself by cutting her own throat. The bodies were found in a small house on the outskirts of the town.

Tragedy in Sacramento: husband kills wife then suicides
In Sacramento on June 18, J. W. Forsburg, 31, a Southern Pacific machinist, shot his wife three times after two weeks of quarrel that had left her living in a boarding house. He then killed himself with a gun. Both died. police found them unconscious. His wife was 28.
