The region endures record breaking floods as torrential rains push rivers to dangerous levels. Flood debris and water fill streets while residents flee homes. Reports detail rising water in the Rio Grande area and widespread damage across Texas and Mexican towns.
Zoeth Houser president of the Standard Consolidated Mines Company, based in Sumpter, departed Saturday night for Copper Ridge as extensive work is planned on 26 claims formed from The Standard, Copper Ridge Gold Mining, and Willie Boy holdings. He will confer with Dr. Mueller before proceeding to the mines. In Oregon news, W C Minor of Heppner reports a valuable registered Shorthorn cow drowned last Thursday night in a waterspout near his home, valued at 1.50 last winter.
Belgrade June 15 The skuptschina opened at noon and quickly voted thanks to army officers for disposing of King Alexander and Queen Draga. Peter Kara Georgeviteh was proclaimed king in a unanimous army-backed result, as soldiers filled the city. Officials later moved to deny rewards for assassins, rushing a resolution through parliament before the king’s election.
