Tragic Death of Nora Wade After Quarrel and Acid Ingestion
Nora Wade 16 or 18, daughter of Henry Wade living near Little McKay creek, died at home after a violent quarrel with her father and a hired man. She swallowed carbolic acid from a bottle bought to treat horses and threw the bottle at Adams before dying within minutes. Wade was a noted horsewoman who had ridden in broncho busting in Pendleton Pilot Rock and at public events. Coroner Folasmhee planned an inquest when the remains are brought to the city for the funeral scheduled tomorrow.
